AI is truly a double-edged sword. We're in the middle of battle for the present and future of humanity given AI will create such a rapid pace of innovation and job loss. And this isn't doomerism, a Luddite philosophy, or some cheap AI is bad critique.
It's a reflection of the very real fact that most of the wealthy elites developing AI - a technology itself that's not inherently good or bad - have a move fast and break things philosophy that isn't about what's good for the average person, but about innovating to enrich and empower themselves.
That needs to change. AI development needs to be executed thoughtfully, in a way that benefits all people, not just a fortunate few that are lucky enough to afford and access most of the benefits it creates.
